BILL ZEBUB WRITES A MEMOIR

Bill Zebub first considered writing a memoir when he was developing a script for a movie that was to spoof his magazine history.

He wanted this movie to be structured like a movie, not like a biography. He also wanted to look like the fool in a slapstick movie, not like a hero.

Those who know Bill Zebub in real life know that he constantly gets into trouble and that he has more bad luck that the entire population of the planet. That’s perfect for a movie.

There was information that Bill Zebub wanted to convey in the movie, but that material would best be enjoyed in a book. As soon as he started writing, Bill Zebub seemed possessed.

This book would be entertaining even if a reader never heard of Bill Zebub. That is the way that it was written. If you have heard of him, then you get to enjoy some secrets, not just about him, but about others. Well, mostly about others.

There will be a crowdfunder to release the first batch. This book is so offensive that it will be impossible to traditionally publish. Bill Zebub does not want to dilute any of the material, which he would be forced to do if this were a mainstream release.

Another reason for the crowdfunder is to release items that had long been lost, as well as other special goodies.

If you would like to participate in this, please Email bill@billzebub.com and ask to be put on the list. You will be notified when the campaign starts.

Bill Zebub RECEIVED “Best Screenwriter” award at shock stock

Bill Zebub was invited to be a guest at Shock Stock, which is a horror convention in London. (shock-stock.com)

His latest movie, CLOWNA NOSTRA played there during a prime viewing time slot. To his surprise, Bill Zebub won an award for the best screenplay.

Even more surprising, the movie played to a packed room, and the audience remained until the end. If you have seen this movie, then you will know how amazing this is. The audience members were intelligent enough to interpret the offensive dialogue for what it was instead of getting triggered by it. This was no gathering of brainwashed people. This was an assembly of free-thinking people who love independent film.

Bill Zebub was treated like a king by staff as well as attendees. “This is how a horror convention should be run. Other organizers should take notes. ” said the King of the B Movies.

This was Bill Zebub’s favorite horror convention since he could remember going to conventions. No other event has ever come close to the vibe at Shock Stock.

Clowna Nostra is now available

Bill Zebub’s controversial film “Clowna Nostra” is now available for purchase. The easiest place is amazon (click), but you can find many quality merchants.

The reviews from fans have been overwhelmingly positive, but bear in mind that these are the ultra-fans who had participated in the crowdfunder for the movie. They love the director’s work more than average people.

When Bill Zebub filmed Scienceless Fiction, he wanted to see if a viewer could be trusted to interpret a movie in a positive tone despite characters saying and doing vile things. The message was positive but the characters were negative. Unfortunately, this movie nearly caused a riot when it played a horror convention in Canada, which resulted in no more movies being played for that event. However, a GOOD result came out of this – some of the people who hated the movie were told, by fans who understood it, what the intentions were, and when they saw the movie again with a new attitude, they loved it.

This taught Bill Zebub that it is better to give viewers a bit more information. Clowna Nostra has the same amount of despicable characters, but the story is more accessible, and also far more open to personal interpretation. It is by no means a mainstream movie, and it does not have the formulaic three-act structure of commercial movies. People might hate it simply for that reason, but it’s much better than if people hate it for being something that it is not.

Maybe you will like to take a chance on this one.

Bill Zebub’s memoir

Bill Zebub has written 60,000 words so far in what was supposed to be a book about his magazine, but he decided to name the book “Fanzine Editor, Movie Maker, and Radio Host” because the three realms affected each other in his development.

No, this is not a self-glorification. It is a memoir that should feel like a novel that is slapstick, if you can imagine such a thing. This should inspire you because Bill Zebub succeeded despite doing everything wrong and with such bad luck that it seemed that a god had cursed him. Humor sometimes has misfortune, and there is plenty of it here.

If you enjoy Bill Zebub’s work, then you will get a peek into the origins and why things turned out the way that they did.

If you have a memory of Bill Zebub, please describe it in an Email to bill@billzebub.com – it’s not that he has a bad memory, it’s that he has so many accidents and embarrassing moments that it is hard to recall them all at any given moment. (You might just fall down the stairs once in your life, but he does it on a weekly basis – so there is no special encoding in his memory of the tragedies that constantly befall him).

Memoirs are usually written in the last phases of life, but if you have seen Bill Zebub wipe out, then you know that death is imminent.

The other reason for a memoir is because Bill Zebub is developing a script called “Fanzine Editor” – and he ended up with enough material to make several seasons of a television show. This is too much for a movie.

Bill Zebub discovered that if he wrote a book that contained what could not be in the movie, then he was free to make something close to a three-act structure (movie jargon – if you don’t know what it means, suffice it to say that it’s more like an average movie than the hyper-experimental stuff that you are accustomed to seeing in a Bill Zebub film).

This book will be followed by Bill Zebub’s tragic Medieval fantasy novel “A Wail of Pity” and a book of poems.

The Re-Edit of The Worst Horror Movie Ever Made

THE WORST HORROR MOVIE EVER MADE has been out of print for only a year, and already copies have been selling for $50 or more.

When fans asked Bill Zebub to return the movie to active distribution, he took a look and decided that if it were to be made available again, it would have to be re-edited, but he left that decision to the fans.

Last year, the same voting was done for NIGHT OF THE PUMPKIN. Bill Zebub created a low profile crowdfunder to ask for a nominal bit of support – the equivalent of asking for a pre-purchase (at a normal price). If fans did not gather to raise the small amount, then it would of course fail commercially.

Fans once again rescued a movie from the grave. There are still a couple of days to participate and to obtain some cool items. Click here to find out more.

Bill Zebub wants the dedicated fans to benefit from the extra value of out-of-print movies, so this re-edit, just as the one for NIGHT OF THE PUMPKIN, have alternate performances, new shots, and the deletion of some material. This way, the original cut stays valuable, and the new one offers a fresh approach to a the footage.

If you participated, thank you for your support.

Bill Zebub will create a crowdfunder for the re-editing project within the next couple of weeks. Fans will decide the fate of this movie. Shall it die, or will it live on in another form?

If you want to be notified about the crowdfunder, Email bill@billzebub.com to be part on the list.

This is not asking for donations. It is a sort of pre-purchase, and there will be other goodies available for people who want more.
