Early this year, a fan asked Bill Zebub to try Gumroad, which was a site some indie directors used as a means for fans to download movie files. The initial test was a success despite the interface being primitive, counterintuitive, and almost impossible to find some answers.

It didn’t take long for Bill Zebub to receive emails that claimed to be from gumroad despite the sender’s email not being from gumroad, being from “iffy” something or other.

Bill Zebub combed through the dashboard and found no notifications, and fans still were able to buy downloads.

As an added measure of security, Bill Zebub found a customer service address and emailed what happened. He received three different emails back that seemed to be written by AI. One of them described what phishing was. Duh. One of them described what to do when phished. Duh. One of them gave instructions about how to find messages in the dashboard, but only in a cursory way that really meant nothing. It was like being told to go find notification in the dashboard, but there is no such entry.

A sensible person would think that the emails warning of suspension were phishing attempts, especially because no errors or notifications were in the dashboard, and the emails were not from gumroad. Bill Zebub googled “iffy” and you can too. Could gumroad really not have any humans working there and just use AI to send erroneous and misleading emails?

While Bill Zebub was on a filming trip over a thousand miles from his computer, his account was suspended, unknown to him. When he returned, he found emails from fans asking why they can’t continue with checkout. Bill suggested they ask customer service. He assumed the primitive and counterintuitive interface sure was to blame.

On a whim, he emailed the support email of gumroad to ask if his account was frozen. Her received three emails, all by AI, with contradictory answers. Only one email stated that his account was suspended, and it had a link to appeal the decision.

Bill Zebub’s movie “Crippled by Desire” was flagged. In the appeals box on the primitive interface, Bill Zebub simply wrote that all movies were widely distributed and that the movie in question was part of the SERIAL KILLER COLLECTION Bluray sold at major retailers, and links to the movie on those sites were provided.

Bill instantly received an email with a scripted message that, due to repeated offenses, the account is permanently deleted.

Fans hated the site, and Bill Zebub should have listened to them. The only reason why gumroad was tested was because it is good business practice not to put all eggs in one basket.

The reason for this post is to warn people that gumroad is a site that doesn’t seem to be run by people. When you ask a question via email, you will get the equivalent of reading a Chinese fortune cookie. Buyer beware.

Andrea Hall was the first actress to star in this disturbing movie about a serial rapist who poses as a driver for a ride-share app. She was filmed in Atlantic City.

Alina Praszka was filmed in Montclair, New Jersey, and Nadine Stevens whom you might remember from SCIENCELESS FICTION returned to the world of Bill Zebub movies for a scene shot in the Poconos, Pennsylvania.

There are more scenes to be shot. The style is visceral and disturbing, which is the opposite of American movies that sanitize this kind of content. It’s like making a movie about football without any footage of football games.

Bill Zebub added, “I reached out to actresses who worked with me in the past, as a surprise to their fans, but some no longer are involved in acting, having gone on different paths. I will continue reaching out, but I also want to hire new talent. The material is so disturbing that it might spook some newcomers, which is another reason for favoring prior hires. They know, from experience, that what looks crazy in the script is actually shot safely and comfortably.”

More news to come. This is one of the long-term projects which allow Bill Zebub to focus on his main titles, like his Frankenstein art house movie, and it also makes it possible to film across the country. After all, the character is a criminal on the move.

QUANTUM LEAP OF FAITH which is also known as JESUS, THE DAUGHTER OF GOD, will get a re-edit, and a couple of scenes will be re-filmed.

GRAMMAR NAZI might be the first movie to be released, but it is too early to determine the schedule.

There is also NEVER MAKE A MOVIE IN TEXAS, which is a sort of documentary of Bill Zebub’s hellish experiences, which will be funny for you to see. People in the south might be angered by Bill Zebub’s observations, but pretty much all his movies have social critique, so the backlash will be nothing new. The intention, however, is to entertain, and also to show you what kind of culture shock you might experience.

There was to be a bonus documentary on the disc, THE WORST DIRECTOR IN THE HISTORY OF CINEMA, which shows the embarrassing side of Bill Zebub, to make southerners feel that Bill Zebub can take a joke, so they shouldn’t feel singled out in the other documentary, but southerners are too stupid to make that connection.

When Bill Zebub targets a type of person for humor, he also includes jokes about himself in the same movie, usually BRUTALLY insulting, but when a viewer becomes enraged, he doesn’t pay attention to that. He doesn’t care that Bill Zebub is ridiculed.

Therefore, THE WORST DIRECTOR IN THE HISTORY OF CINEMA will be a separate title.

STABBED IN THE ASS will be filmed during all of these projects, using the overflow funds from Kickstarter campaigns for other projects. This way, much of the lesser scenes will already be shot when a Kickstarter for this movie finally launches.

There are many more scripts in the works., but the aforementioned movies are the priorities at this time. Things might change, so visit from time to time.

The story is about Andrea, who is fooled into going on a boat. This begins her training to be a slave.

The reason this is experimental is because it is entirely silent. It’s also shorter than a typical feature.

The movie was shot this way because Bill Zebub purchased a three-pack of movies about captive women. Absolutely nothing graphic or disturbing happened, unless you’re a church lady who can’t even handle a cartoon. Nudity was obscured by objects in the scene.

This made Bill Zebub wonder why such subjects were even chosen. It’s like a movie about chess, but no chess piece is ever visible and no chess game is ever played. Instead, there’s just soap-opera dialogue.

This does not mean that Bill Zebub went the other extreme. He has already pushed those barriers in previous movies. Instead, he wrote a basic tale and shot it, bearing in mind that there would be no conversation, and the viewer will have to figure out what’s going on.

The unusual presentation is why this will only be available on a BD-R. There won’t be a commercial release because this will probably fail commercially. However, if you want to own such a movie, you are invited to check it out.
